The whitepaper starts from a problem: modern communication became faster and cheaper, but the value of communication itself was never clearly defined. Resource consumption, platform costs and user contribution are separated from one another.

VOLT is designed as the communication network's energy unit: a layer that sits around communication activity rather than replacing the communication layer itself.

What the energy layer measures

In the VOLT model, communication resources can carry measurable consumption, user participation can become productive network behavior, and nodes that provide routing or relay services can receive incentives.

Why separate CoreLink and VOLT?

CoreLink focuses on communication. VOLT focuses on communication energy. Keeping these roles separate allows the communication experience and the value-accounting mechanism to evolve independently while remaining coupled inside the same network architecture.
